If you have a child attending a local school, or you’re involved with non-profit groups like the Wallingford Community Senior Center, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with Chinook Book. If you aren’t, then here’s the skinny: Chinook Book is choc full ‘o coupons and offers from sustainable, local businesses in Seattle, so purchasers can save money on dining out locally or goods and services offered by local, participating merchants. What’s more, the non-profit organizations that sell Chinook Book earn 50% of the proceeds, even if the book is bought via the Chinook Book mobile app for iPhone and Android. The books go for $20 and the mobile app sells for $15.
Tangletown resident Aaron Richey is the director of Chinook Book, and he sent us a list of all of the Wallingford businesses that have offers in the 2013 Chinook Book, along with a map of non-profit organizations that sell them. So do yourself and the neighborhood a little bit of good and order a 2013 Chinook Book or download a free version of their mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
