Gift of Grace Church (2102 N. 40th St.) will be the site for a rummage sale this Saturday, October 6, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The organizers are raising money for the Global Seva Challenge 2012, dedicated to raising awareness of sex trafficking and providing support for women and children. All proceeds go to the rescue, rehabilitation, and healing of those sold into slavery.
If you have any gently used household items, small furniture, camping gear, books, clothing, art, or children’s items, you can drop them off at the church on Friday, October 5 from 9:00am – 5:00pm, or email Gretchen Wolf ([email protected]) or call call her at 206.200.0829 for a pick up.
In addition to the rummage items, Seva t-shirts, jute bags, and bracelets will also be for sale.
The organizers would also be grateful for any volunteers for set up on Friday the 5th or for the day of the sale. They’re also looking for able-bodied folks with trucks(or large cars) to help haul items to the sale on Friday and at end of sale on Saturday.
