The granddaddy of all yard sales in Wallingford is happening this Saturday (May 19) from 9:00am – 3:00pm, and all proceeds benefit John Stanford and McDonald International schools. Here’s the scooparooni:
Bargain hunters will find kids’ toys and clothing, housewares, furniture, books, gadgets, and many other treasures at sales around the neighborhood.
The tour starts at McDonald School/Lincoln High School parking lot (4400 Interlake Avenue N.), where McDonald parents will hold their consolidated sale – hundreds (maybe thousands) of items will be available, and you can pick up a map to all the John Stanford sales.
Other yard sale locations include:
- 2115 N. 46th St.
- 4232 Corliss Ave. N.
- 2305 N 41st St.
- 4011 Corliss Ave. N.
- 2305 N. 39th St
- 4314 Eastern Ave. N. (silent auction items from local businesses)
Is there a bake sale at any of the locations?
Yes!! At McDonald Elementary’s sale at Lincoln High’s north parking lot we will have some baked goods and other treats to sell… may even be some lemonade!!
I was told by another yard sale host that all yard sale locations will have baked goods for sale.
Oh yes, 4232 Corliss will also have lemonade.
Darn, I am always out of town for the great neighborhood events. I hope everyone finds some great bargains and that schools get some green.
One of the locations (4314 Eastern Ave. N.) is hosting a silent auction with goods and services donated by local businesses. There will be dinners, music lessons, hair cuts, wine tasting, coffee baskets, and other great stuff.
