There’s been plenty of discussion about Skanska’s “Stone34” project in our last post, How Pasta Translates into a “Run Happy” Future. In the comments, reader Abdul posted some of the information he gleaned from the Wallingford Community Council meeting on March 7, including the announcement of the project’s next design review, on Monday, March 19:

Skanska presented an update on their “Stone 34″ Living Building project. Skanska has applied for Design Review related to development of this site. There was a long discussion about it. Brooks Shoes will be the anchor tenant. 75% of the retail space has tentative tenants.
The public may offer comments regarding the proposed design; and the Design Review Board members will offer to the Director of the Department of Planning and Development their recommendations regarding the design.

You know, Wallyhood is generally and specifically the most humorous and informative neighborhood blog around town. Makes me smile daily!
I am looking forward to some info from the meeting is someone would please. I unfortunately have another meeting.
Aw, shucks. Thanks, Jeanne! We always love to hear that!
Why are these events outside of wallingford?
maybe they dont want the residents who have families and busy lives to be able to attend in order to really know what is planned and to protest anything out of order!
It isn’t anything nefarious; it’s just where the Design Board always meets for this part of the city. http://www.seattle.gov/dpd/Planning/Design_Review_Program/Project_Reviews/Upcoming/default.asp
