You might not spot it at first glance, but tucked away on Interlake Avenue, just above N. 45th and next to the Drum Exchange, there’s a new performance space and gallery for Creative Music Adventures.
Creative Music Adventures (4501 Interlake Ave N #9) is a music school for kids as young as four years-old, and also for adults. On the school’s website, founder Michael Stegner writes:
I want to help students respect the music of the past and present, while also respecting and learning about the spirit behind the music. The attitude and soul of the music are the elements that can turn playing music into a lifelong passion – not just something you do on Thursdays at 4:30 after school.
In addition to their classes, Creative Music Adventures offers monthly high quality jazz performances that are open to the public, as well as Friday night Jazz Jams for teens. For more information about the school, contact them at 206-354-4985 or via email: [email protected].
