Assistance League of Seattle (1415 N. 45th St.) is hosting an open house for the community on Wednesday, February 1, from 4-8PM. Stop by to learn about all the great things they do for students in the Greater Seattle Area. Food and beverages will be served, and volunteers will be on hand to provide tours of the pair of bungalows they occupy on 45th St., which house a public thrift shop and their primary philanthropic program, Operation School Bell for children.
Assistance League of Seattle provides clothing for schoolchildren in need through its Operation School Bell program. Each year, volunteers help over 1000 kids in 60 schools in the Greater Seattle Area to choose a basic wardrobe for school.
In addition to Operation School Bell, Assistance League also provides scholarships to students who attend Seattle area community colleges, as well as offering extracurricular Enrichment Scholarships to kids in grades 6-11 who attend Seattle Public Schools.

H/T to Luna for sending us the tip!
Thanks for posting this! I’ve lived in the ‘hood forever…and did not know that was what Assistance League did — sounds like great things! I will definitely drop in at that open house.
