On Monday, January 23, the public will have a chance to make comments and ask questions about the proposed Stone Way Apartments design — the four-story mixed use project on 4111 Stone Way N. The meeting will be held beginning at 6:30PM at the University Heights Center (5031 University Way N.E.).
According to the Land Use Bulletin, the proposal is for a four-story structure containing 27 residential units over 1,560 sq. ft. of retail/commercial space. Parking for 19 vehicles to be provided at grade.
You can find previous Wallyhood discussions about the project here and here, and you can find the early design guidance here.
27 living units
and only 19 parking places?
who are they kidding?
Sounds like a plan
Well, since bus service in Wallingford is guaranteed by Metro, clearly half the units’ residents will not need cars. Oh, right . . . .
oh stupid me I forgot
and none of those who come for day business purposes will use cars.. they’ll go by bus or bike
Parking to some people may seem like a “minor” problem. I would like the city planners come and see what lack of parking (Bastyr University) does to the neighborhood in S. W. Wallingford. We will get permitted parking (costing me $75 for two cars per year) which just pushes the parking to some other neighborhood. I just wish there was a way of having designated parking so I could park in front of my own house.
Well ralph that isn’t your property.
But I understand your frustration. Just wait for the monster on stone to be complete if it fills up. If ire call correctly it had a similar ( albeit better ratio) of parking than the 4111 project.
