In addition to the Design Review Meeting for the 4111 Stone Way Project Monday at 6:30 pm, there is a second design review meeting, also at University Heights Center, at 8 pm on Monday to review the proposal for a “four-story structure containing 27 residential units over 1,560 sq. ft. of retail/commercial space” at 3635 Woodland Park Ave N:
The applicants have applied for Design Review related to development of this site. At the early design guidance meeting, the applicants will present information about the site and vicinity. The public may offer comments regarding the design and siting of a developmenton the subject site; and the Design Review Board members will also offer comments and identify those Citywide Design Guidelines of highest priority in developing the site.

Re 4111 Stone.. which place will be demolished.. Cometa? Kuma? The animal hospital?
Finally ther is also a proposed design construction development on 4300 woodland park n no one has written about yet.

The design specifications for these specify below ground parking on the same property, so I don’t see them encroaching on nearby buildings to get the parking:
Parking for 130 vehicles to be provided below ground.
The two buildings being demolished for 4111 are one single family home and a home that was added onto and converted into an office space. Both are directly across from Kuma.
If the new development parking is encroaching (your word), it isn’t because the parking they build is above ground or below, it’s the capacity, vs. expected parking demand. Tell me I don’t have to draw a diagram.
Will residents in the apts at Stone Way Roofing be eligible for parking zone permits to park around back on Interlake, I wonder?
I think you might have mixed up TWO of the design reviews slated for Woodland Park. There is a smaller one on the east side of the street, but as I recall from the signage, the larger one you’ve highlighted on the west side of the street is for ~160 units (http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/luib/Notice.aspx?BID=683&NID=13152) with parking for 130. This is on top of the “apple” apartment building (51 units) further south on the same block (east side), that underwent design review earlier this year, and which is currently under active construction (http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/luib/Notice.aspx?BID=580&NID=11685)
I am talking about 43 & woodland park
and 41 and midvale
