What do you want? There’s live music, good food, demonstrations, an organic farmers market, chickens, goats, ducks, bees, cider, a seed swap, buskers, authors, and more.
The weather people say it’ll be sunny and in the low 80’s, a finer day you couldn’t ask for. Summer’s here for another one, two weeks tops. Celebrate it.

So, for the second month, we were somewhat underwhelmed by Wallingford Art Walk. Not many people out, not many businesses seeming to participate, few artists actually with their work. What up, Wallingford?

Great neighbors of Wallingford! It’s time once again to rejoice in the absolute wurst smell of the neighborhood! The Great Wallingford Wurst Festival is next Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17th at Saint Benedict School (4811 Wallingford Avenue North).

Wallingford UMC, along with Seattle Slam, are pleased to be sponsoring a screening of the award-winning documentary Louder Than A Bomb at WUMC on Friday, September 9th. The event starts at 7 pm with live performances from members of Seattle Slam and other young artists from the community. The film begins at 7:30 pm. Light refreshments will be available. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person, with proceeds to be shared with the artists.

Arno Llorente was known to many Wallingford residents, usually seen hanging out along 45th as he trekked daily from his apartment near Molly Moon’s to his son Steve’s house on Thackeray. About noon today (9/7), Arno collapsed. He was transported to Harborview, but they were unable to revive him. He had many friends, and we don’t know who all they were, so we thought Wallyhood would be a good way to let people know of his passing. Also, we don’t know any of the details. Back in January, we told you all about the super cool Geeks Who Drink Monday night trivia at Blue Star Cafe & Pub (4512 Stone Way N.), where teams compete against one another to claim the top geek spot of the night.
