Back in September, we told you about the sudden passing of Dr. Jenefer S. Huntoon, who owned a naturopathic clinic on the corner of N. 45th at Interlaken. While the clinic was closed until further notice in early October, we just received this email from Dr. Ellen Sauter, who explained that the clinic will now reopen:

As Wallyhood neighbor Jared writes, there is a German phrase, “Tu Gutes und rede darüber”  which means “Do good and talk about it.”   Jared’s son Kyle did good, and Wallyhood is going to talk about it.

A few months ago, young Kyle was being dropped off at Interlake Childcare Center when he noticed his favorite teacher, Sherry Thomas, riding her bicycle near the school without a helmet.  And this was a problem Kyle could solve.  He decorated a bike helmet with a “careful selection of dinosaur stickers and reflective Cascade Bicycle Club stickers and gave the helmet” to Sherry as …

We recently spoke with Patrick McCredie of Satay (1711 N. 45th St.) who filled us in on some neat stuff going on in the restaurant, above and beyond the awesome peanut sauce they serve.

If you’ve been to, or walked past Satay fairly recently, you probably noticed a cool mural-in-progress on the storefront. The muralist is Tom Blayney, so if you see him, stop by to take a look-see. Very cool.
