The Wallingford Community Council will have its regular monthly meeting at the Good Shepherd Center on Wednesday, December 7th at 7:00 PM. Among the items on the agenda will be a presentation from the artist selected by SPU to create both temporary and permanent art for the site of the new transfer station.

Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will host an open house to discuss the Wallingford Neighborhood Greenway installation on Thursday, December 8, from 6:00-7:30pm in the Commons at Hamilton International Middle School (1610 N. 41st St). I love this time of year for many reasons, one of which is my annual phone chat with Woodlawn Santa (aka Sharon Ehrig), who usually leads the conversation with a rousing “Ho ho ho!” This year, she had something else to add: “Christmas is going up!”
