Wallyhood welcomes Kirchoff Fitness to our family of sponsors. Kirchoff Fitness is run by Chris Kirchoff, a fitness coach and lifelong dedicated athlete who left behind her public high school teaching career to help motivate people to become fitter by designing individual programs tailored to their specific goals. She’s received some great praise from men and women who have enjoyed training with Chris. Have a look.
In addition to one-on-one training, Kirchoff has four-week 5:30am outdoor group bootcamps that not only inspire, but are actually fun! During her last bootcamp session, Chris concocted a “dream workout” (she literally dreamt it) in the form of a scavenger hunt around Wallingford. She split the group into different teams (Jazzy Elves, Team Snowflake, the Fruit Cakes) and sent them off to find things like the 12 Days of Christmas song sheet at Meridian Park. Once found, the group had to sing the tune while sitting against the wall of the bathrooms. Then, they raced to St. Benedict’s to find medicine balls and a Santa hat (each checkpoint had to be documented using a smartphone). Afterwards, they went to Lower Woodland Park to take a picture at the bridge overlooking 99 with an open-mouth smile. (Oh, but they didn’t just run up that steep hill to get there, they had to bear crawl!) Finally, they had to find Kirchoff Fitness buttons and find a creative place to put them on their bodies. If you’d like to see some of the photos and a video from the scavenger hunt, check out their Facebook page.
Thanks to Kirchoff Fitness for their support, along with our other fine sponsors!
