Who says Thanksgiving turkey’s just for people? On Saturday, November 19th, come to the Woodland Park Zoo’s Annual Turkey Toss and enjoy the spectacle as Seattle’s more exotic residents chow down on fresh, raw turkeys. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., zoo attendants feed the coolest carnivorous creatures juicy Thanksgiving treats in an ongoing effort to promote natural animal behavior and provide visitors with an opportunity to participate in the daily lives of lions and dragons and wolves. Oh my.

COST: Turkey Toss is free with zoo admission. Admission: Adult (13-64) $11.50; Child (3-12) $8.50; Toddler (0-2) free. Active and retired U.S. military and their families, seniors and people with physical disabilities receive an admission discount. Zoo members receive free zoo admission year round.

what a barbaric “tradition” at this zoo, which is currently under investigation for cruelty to large animals (ie. elephants) and persists in harboring these wonderful exotic animals, which should be returned to their natural habitats!
