Last week, we learned via Wallyhood Forums that a new business named “GMG” had moved into the other half of the building that Cutz Meridian operates out of. We sent out guest blogger, Annie Mouse, to check it out. Thanks, Annie!
Grasshopper Medical Group (GMG) is now open in Wallingford, at 4515 Meridian Avenue North, Suite A — next to Cutz Meridian and just behind Murphy’s Irish Pub. I dropped by recently and was met at the door by two very friendly staff members.
Grasshopper Medical Group is a medical cannabis dispensary serving patients who are prescribed medical marijuana under the Revised Code of Washington, Chapter 69.51a. They offer:
- safe friendly access
- top quality medicine at affordable prices (better than Fremont!)
- a variety of dry medicine, medibles, and lotions
- Concentrates, sativa and indica capsules, CBD’s, etc.
Tom S. was really pleased to see a Wallyhood representative in his shop. He was actually excited that we might write about his shop (unlike some other dispensaries!), and asked that we let neighbors know if you ever have ANY concerns about Grasshopper’s operations, please let him know.
Are there things that the neighborhood wants to see GMG doing in order to increase safety or address other concerns? Drop by and talk with Tom about it. He wants to work in collaboration with Wallingford to ensure safe patient access while meeting the neighborhood’s needs. He even offered to host educational seminars, meet-and-greets, etc., so everyone can get to know him and Grasshopper better. Have questions, or just want to talk? Give Tom a call at 206.632-7662.
I did mention the problems associated with the Cannabis Farmer’s Market in lower Wallingford earlier this year. Tom and the young woman working with him both assured me that similar behavior will NOT be tolerated at Grasshopper.
Tom is also considering a holiday food drive of some sort. Details are not worked out yet, but he is thinking about requesting canned food donations in exchange for discounts or bonus treats. Have a worthy local cause you can recommend to Tom? I am recommending Family Works as a possible recipient. Any other suggestions? Let Grasshopper know: [email protected]
I’ve visited a number of cannabis providers in the past year, and I have never felt as welcome as I did when visiting Grasshopper. The best part is that they really want to be a part of Wallingford, and to work with the community. Please drop by to say hello and look for future outreach efforts.
Welcome to Wallingford, Grasshopper!
If Tom has a food drive, I imagine he’s going to get plenty of bags of Doritos and tubs of cookie dough.
Oh, Annie and Wallyhood — you’re too fast for me! I’ve been walking past GMG for the past couple weeks, wondering what the heck they were. Yesterday I noticed the RCW citation on their readerboard and the lightbulb came on. Ah ha, I thought, bet I can scoop Wallyhood on this one. But as so often happens, I got distracted and then, you know . . .
Welcome to the ‘hood, I say. Don’t need ’em at the moment, but it’s just another one of those amenities within walking distance, as far as I’m concerned.
Thank you, Janey! Wallyhood saw some other folks talking in the Forums about it & sent the info to me. So it’s people like you who got the scoop! Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up Annie! I’ll bring a bag of Doritos for Doug 🙂
If they opened this next to Yogurtland, it would create an infinite loop.
If GMG is going to have a food drive, FamilyWorks would very much appreciate the donations.
I’ll love them as long as they don’t advertise with hot 20 year old ladies popping out of vinyl nurse costumes. And by love them, I mean ‘champion their right to exist legally’ since the smell of pot makes me sort of sick, though it’s helped many a friend and family member make it through periods of bad health.
But welcome to the neighborhood! A food drive is always a good idea.
