Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) is offering two new groups this fall designed especially for parents with two children. Both of these groups will meet at the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Avenue North, Room 326):
Second Time Around is a parent support group for parents who have more than one child, including a new baby. Unlike the Little Peppers group below, they come to the group with just their new baby. The difference between the Second Time Around group and the Newborn group is that the majority of parents in Newborn groups are first-timers. Some experienced parents choose a regular Newborn group, and find that they enjoy the interaction with first-time parents, and it gives them a chance to feel like an “expert” on the parenting path compared to these fresh, new parents. Some experienced parents want to be in a group with others who have walked this path before, and who are juggling the demands of multiple children.
Fall session is on Mondays from 6:30-8:30pm beginning September 12 through November 21. The fee for the fall session is $155.

Little Peppers is a parent support group for parents of two children under 3 years old (a toddler and newborn). Parents bring both children to the group, which is a fun social opportunity for the toddlers/pre-schoolers, but makes for a loud and high-energy meeting. Some parents love that, some prefer the relative calm of a Second Time Around group. With just parents and babies in the room, it can be easier to have an in-depth and supportive discussion.
The Little Peppers fall session will be held on Tuesday mornings, from 10:00-11:30am beginning September 13 through November 22. The fee for the fall session is $170 per family.
