Kara Ceriello told us that Not A Number is leaving Wallingford and will be closing up shop this weekend. You may remember, Ceriello and her partner, Jon DeLeeuw, moved next door to a smaller space last February. Over the summer, Ceriello mentioned to me that they were having some storage issues in their current location, and while they looked at other options in the neighborhood, none of them worked out. Right now, they’re looking at space in Ballard, so hopefully we’ll be able to pass on their new address once everything is finalized. Here’s some information about a sale they’re having tomorrow and Saturday:
Hey, NOT A NUMBER IS MOVING and this Saturday is our official last day here in Wallingford. We’ll be open until 8pm tomorrow (Friday), and I’m sure at least 9pm on Saturday. We’ll be here Sunday packing and cleaning, so we can be visited then too; but all sales end Saturday night, AND ‘TIL THEN ALL IN THE STORE IS 25% OFF! (except electroluminescent wire, sorry).
We wish you all the best, Kara and Jon, and my kids will be saddened by the fact that they’ll no longer have giant hand chairs to sit on.
Ah, bummer. Not A Number helped keep me sane during the Bush years.
I hope they find a good spot in Ballard and are able to keep their shop going. They were such a great place to have in Wallingford. Best wishes to Not a Number in their move.
Very sorry to see y’all go. You were the heart of the coolest block in Wallingford.
we will miss them greatly. Hope they have a bing bonger of a clearout sale! friends ought to bring food and chocolate!
The night the Seahawks played Dallas in the playoffs, we had had dinner at Palmyra, which is also well-missed. As we were leaving the restaurant, we saw that Not A Number was open, and had the game (which had about a minute to go) on a TV. They were supposed to be closed long before, but they just stayed open so we could all watch the end of the game together. It was one of those moments when you realize you live in a neighborhood with neighbors. They will be forever missed.
Sad to see them go! Must have been hard with Archie Mcphee’s moving in two blocks down. I wish AM had a sense of neighborhood pride that Not A Number had.I hope they prosper in Ballard!
Nothing against Not a Number but Archie McPhee’s was in Wallingford long before Not a Number was. Anyone remember when it was where Durn Good Grocery is now?
