Rodger Biasca just sent us this sad news:
Arno Llorente was known to many Wallingford residents, usually seen hanging out along 45th as he trekked daily from his apartment near Molly Moon’s to his son Steve’s house on Thackeray. About noon today (9/7), Arno collapsed. He was transported to Harborview, but they were unable to revive him. He had many friends, and we don’t know who all they were, so we thought Wallyhood would be a good way to let people know of his passing. Also, we don’t know any of the details. We believe the EMTs responded to 2nd and 45th shortly after noon. We would like to thank anyone who tried to help when he collapsed.
Rodger and all those who knew Arno, please accept our heartfelt condolences. We wish you peace in this time of sadness.
Farewell, Arno.
It was great fun to collide, sit side-by-side, over the years.
Thanks Steve and Rodger for sharing him with us.
I stopped and spoke with Arno every day for two years while walking my son. We’ve just relocated to the east coast and I said goodbye to him a few weeks ago. I’m so very sad to hear of his passing. He was a kind and friendly man who helped make Wallingford such a great place to live. My sincere condolences to his family.
