Here’s some news we’ve heard around Wallingford this week:
Reader Glenn tells us that the projected open date for Walgreen’s is November 1, 2011. Looks as though they may be adding a drive thru window. It’d be nice if they also installed an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station.
A reader wrote that someone broke into her car on 43rd and Sunnyside this week, stealing an iPod and causing her to pony-up a $500 deductible for the window. That really sucks.
We’ve covered the dognapping topic to death, but what about missing cats? Reader Kim says she’s spotted lots of missing cat posters all over Fremont and up on Queen Anne lately, and then she emailed a friend in Wallingford who said the same thing. Are we having a sudden surge of missing kitties, too?
Despite the strangely-worded posters in the window, Domo Home Collections is not going out of business. They’re just holding one heck of a sale.
And finally, don’t forget about the Pirates & Pipsqueaks carnival tomorrow (Sunday, 8/21) from noon to 5pm at Solid Ground’s parking lot (1501 N. 45th St.) or I’ll make ya walk the plank. Arrrrrgh!
Wait, so you guys just deleted the earlier Domo post instead of making an edit?
The post never should have run in the first place. I was holding it for confirmation. But I published it in error and removed it as soon as I discovered the mistake.
Fair enough
Arrrrrgh! (Thanks for the excuse to growl in pirate-ese)
I have one word for the missing kitties comment: coyotes
