Reader Kris just sent us mail letting us know that her friend, also named Kris, in Green Lake found a kitty wandering around her garage yesterday, around 5th Avenue NE and NE 72nd St. Green Lake Kris emailed My Green Lake who published this post, but Wallingford Kris asked if we could do the same. The cat has no collar and is not microchipped. It’s a gray tabby with black markings and blue eyes.
Wallingford Kris also pointed us to our Forums where someone had posted that their gray/cream/white tabby, named Hank, had gone missing about a week ago and she wondered if it was the same cat.
Send us an email at [email protected] if you think you, or someone you know, is the owner of this cat and we’ll connect you to Kris.
Thank you so much Margaret!!! I hope Hank is reunited with his owner(s) soon!!!
I just sent a message to Hank’s owner. I’m sure she’ll be in touch the second she sees it.
There are posters here in lower Wallingford for a missing gray & black tabby named Mr. Mellow. The pics on the poster don’t really match the pics above (more brown than gray.. but that could be lighting), it’s just too hard to tell. Posters say Mr. Mellow is microchipped, too. Anyway, if you wanna check in with Mr. Mellow’s owner just in case, call Dee @ 206 660 4195.
Thank you so much Jordan. Hi Chris…I think Kris (Greenlake, cat-finding Kris) said the cat she found wasn’t chipped. She was also referring to the cat as a she, not sure if it was actually a female cat (I’m guessing Hank is a male cat), but regardless, I hope it’s the same cat. It’s horrible when you lose a pet.
Hey Wallyhoodians, thanks for all of your help. The cat, apparently named Feodore, belonged to a neighbor two houses down. I put handwritten signs up today and the owner called me. Unfortunately, she wasn’t too concerned and will continuing letting several cats roam around. At least this spurred her to go out and buy the cat a collar and tags, but she didn’t express much gratitude for all of us going out on a limb to help. Alas, we did our part. Hope Hank and his owner will reconnect someday!

Thank you so much Kris! I’m sorry if I got anyone’s hopes up. I was really hoping it was Hank. I know how hard and heartbreaking it is to lose a pet. I hope Hank finds his way home.
@Greenlake Kris Sorry your efforts weren’t appreciated more, but you can rest with a good conscience now for doing the right thing. Thanks for being that kind of neighbor! Both Kris’!
Feodore’s people may not appreciate the effort, but I appreciate living in a community were people care and make the effort!!
Well said Yani! I totally agree! Also, thank you Chris for looking out for Mr. Mellow. Hopefully he is safe and sound and will find his way back home.
My Wallingford is reporting that the owner of this kitty has been found!
That’s great news! Hurrah for neighborhood blogs! (and awesome neighbors!)
