Thanks to everyone for their support and eyes-out looking for Stella, the pooch dognapped from the Durn Good Grocery on Wednesday. Still no word on Stella’s return, but Jasmine sent in this picture she happened to snap of the little girl earlier this week. Keep your eyes peeled!
And, at the risk of becoming a “lost and found pets” site, we’ll post this photo and note from Jeramy:
My cat escaped from the area of 1st and 44th (By Dick’s Drive-In and the church) on Monday, June 27 where my friends were watching him while I was away. He is a long-haired black cat with a white patch on his chest. His name is Major but I usually just call him Mage. He is very wary around strangers and will run and hide if he thinks he has been seen. If you do see him, please call or text Jeramy (that’s me) at 206-605-8369.
On a bright note, we also received two e-mails from Cameron yesterday: one saying he had found a dog, and the next saying that he the dog had been re-united with his owner after a trip to the vet to check for a microchip.
Stella’s owner is an irresponsible dog owner. Many times I would walk by the grocery and see her out running around alone and loose just a foot from the buses and cars driving by on 40th. Even when someone was outside with Stella there was never a leash in sight. The Durn Good grocery people should not be allowed to own a dog.
Maybe the person that took Stella thought she deserved better treatment than she was getting from the Durn people.
The important thing is to find the dog. It’s never ok to suggest that it would be allright to steal someone’s pet. So easy to pass judgement. Have you never made a mistake?
Rusty, do you drive a green toyota?
Can we track Rusty’s IP address?
I just want to thank everyone who kept an eye out for my cat. Because of some key sightings I was able to capture him the morning of Sunday the third. He seems pretty happy to be home.
Jeramy, that’s great! We’re so happy for you! And for Mage!
Rusty, dude how old are you? all pets-dogs, cats, rabbits….you make me so sad…were never leashed before the ninties, if they wre good pets. many a retail, cafe and grocery in this town thrive on regulars being greeted by a dancing tiny rat terrier or a friendly rub against the calf by a bookstore’s cat.. please rethink your narrow mind. Stella has been at the durn since she was six weeks old. i see the “irresponsible owner” drive around the corner every day with fresh product for the store, that sweet pup in the crook of his arm on the driver’s side, ALWAYS…..
Dude, the guy in the morning ther never fails to stop his morning routine to make sure EVERY dog gets a biscuit, fer, chist’s sake. obviously, rusty, you’ve never even come into the store and met the owner you so ignorantly judge.
everyone else, please, no matter whether you think an unleashed store dog is abad idea, please envision a safe retrun of stella running into jai’s arms. peace.
STELLA IS BACK!!!!!!! Jai just received a call from a ballard vet hospital saying that “someone had left her off there,,,ask tomorrow and i might have some more info. Jai thanks everyone for their concern, their super efforts and technology, and of course for being such great neighbors.having lived in the hood for 22 years in august, i just knew that our collective energies and strong community spirit would bring her home.
