King and Snohomish County PEPS (the Program for Early Parent Support) offers a series of talks for parents, with the majority of them here in Wallingford at the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Avenue North). Their upcoming talk, scheduled for this Wednesday night, May 11, from 7-9pm is “Avoiding Toxic Chemicals and Creating a Safe Environment During Pregnancy and in the Home”.
Erika Schreder, staff scientist for the Washington Toxics Coalition and Windy Gossett, Baby Planner for Itsabelly, will provide information for expectant parents on how to avoid toxins during pregnancy and how to “go green” with your new baby and/or children.
If you’re interested in attending, please register on the PEPS website. The lecture is free (though donations are welcome). Attendees will also have the chance to win a home inspection from Vesta Home Performance valued at $499.
