If there is a better way to spend a Spring Saturday morning than on a bike bopping between garage sales, I don’t know what it is.
What makes it so wonderful? Is it finding bizarre and beautiful oddments, like the 1950’s-era cellulite reducing “Home Pony” we bought years ago for just $10? Is it chatting with the hosts about the bits of their life they’ve decided to pass on? Or is it coasting down cherry-blossomed streets between the sales, eager with the anticipation of what you’ll find at the next sale?
Whatever your pleasure, you get to add a fourth wonder to the list this Saturday, May 21st 9 am – 2 pm, as a set of eight yard sales are donating their take to the John Stanford International School as part of the Wallingford Yard Sale tour.
Download this handy map of the sales, hop on a bike and take the tour.
Pro Tip: Cycling doesn’t just promote health, it prevents purchasing things you don’t really need. That Nordic Track? If you really need it, you can always pay now and pick up later. But you don’t.
