We have to admit we were surprised at the number of people who correctly identified last week’s What in the Wallingford photo as the hand of the sculpture of an angel in front of St. Benedict’s Parish House on N 48th St and Wallingford Ave. Most people identified it as an angel, although Max thought it was Icarus and Mary said she thought the name of the sculpture was “Transformation”. Does anyone know for sure if it’s just “an angel”, or something more specific? Let us know in the comments below!
Congratulations to Morgan, who was selected at random from those who sent in a correct answer to receive a gift pack of devised-in-Wallingford Rowdy Roja Salsa, complements of Jimmy Anderson and Rowdy Roja.
As always, the photos in our contests are taken within the borders of Wallingford, so they’re always local, but this week’s puzzle photo fits right in with the way we roll.
If you know where this was taken, let us know in the form below, and you will be eligible to receive a fabulous prize, to be named next week! If you’re reading this in e-mail or on the P-I, be sure to click here to submit your answer.

Hi,
I am the artist of the sculpture that was featured last week.
The title of the sculpture is “Transformation.” Many people see it as an angel but “Transformation” has more layers of meaning.
Louise McDowell
Thank you, Louise, for such an inspiring piece of sculpture in our neighborhood.
Of course it all those things the viewers said (and much more): It’s art!
