It’s the first Wednesday of the month, and thus, Wallingford Art Walk. The number of participating businesses seems diminished from previous months, but perhaps Art Walk is resting and gathering its strength for May, which we’re told will be a sort of “grand re-opening” of the event. Here’s what we’re told is happening:
- Irwin’s: Aaron Winnenberg
- Stu Stu Studio: Robin DeAlva (Encaustic painting)
- Oasis Art Gallery: Connectivity
- Seattle Mosaic Arts: Group exhibit and–in honor of Spring, Earth Day, and Arbor Day–will feature mosaics with trees of all shapes and sizes and kinds.
- KERF International: Zhixian Ren
- Wallingford Center: Patricia Ann Wilson
- Blue Star: Briana Maxx Follis
- Bargain Fair Thrift Store: Matt Ballard
- Seamonster Lounge: Siolo Thompson & Cat Davis
- Grizzled Wizard: Millie Boksenbaum
- Fuel Coffee: Irene Wood
This month, it seems like there’s almost as much music going on as visual art:
- Wallingford Center: Flip and Fly 6:00-7:00 pm (Acoustic Old Swing Jazz)
- SeaMonster: An Acoustic Showcase! featuring Mike Lengel 6:30-7:30 pm, Jamison Johnson 7:30-8:30pm, Role One (Reggae/Hip-hop) 10:00 pm- close
- Rain Sushi: Jessie Anne Houghton with Lukewarm (delectable guitar and impregnating lyric)
- May Thai Restaurant and Lounge: The Pilot Lights 6:30- 7:30 pm (Acoustic Indie/Rock)
- Babalu: Sheryl Diane feat. Woogie D & John Terpin, 7-8pm
Wondering where all those places are? Download this map of participating Art Walk locations or stop in Wallingford Center and pick up a printed map with framable art work on the flip side. Collector’s item, yo!
Thanks, Jordan! RAIN Sushi will have music from 6-9pm! Have a lovely Art Walk Wednesday!
