Sustainable Wallingford is looking to recruit a new organizer for Wallingford Walks–a monthly guided stroll around the neighborhood that occurs from May through September. Each month, the walks take on a new theme that highlights our unique little hamlet. Here’s the scoop:
For the past three years Sustainable Wallingford has sponsored a walk around the neighborhood each month from May through September. We need someone to come forward to be the organizer for Wallingford Walks this year. The walks have generally been on a Saturday or Sunday once a month. The job is to decide on a topic for the walk (such as, Craftsman Homes or The Birds and the Bees) and to decide how to organize for it. You will get lots of advice from last year’s walk organizer. So here’s your chance to become a real leader – at least down the sidewalk.
Want to check out one of last year’s Wallingford Walks? Click here. Bonus points to those who can correctly identify the guy in the beekeeper suit (hint: we’re told he gently heats his honey to 103 degrees in his hot tub, and uh, it’s darn tasty honey at that!)
If you’d like more information visit the Walllingford Walks group on Sustainable Wallingford. If you’d like to volunteer, e-mail Mike directly at: [email protected].
Hey, I can do this, I think!
The photo is easy – one of my most admired pieces of yard art & around the corner from us (hint – gate post). The “fill in the form below” part however, has me baffled – ? where? what form?
Lesli, You commented on the post above the “What in the Wallingford”. The form is in the post below this one!
