Top o’ the mornin’ to ya, neighbors! Whether it’s green libations, Corned Beef and Cabbage, or a good ol’ fashioned sugar rush you’re wantin’, here’s a couple of ideas for celebratin’ St. Patrick’s Day this Thursday—all within stumbling distance from your home:
Murphy’s (1928 N. 45th St.) celebrates St. Patrick’s Day all weekend long, beginning at 11am on Thursday, with live music from the Carrigaline Irish Band, Dan Maher, and the Seattle Firefighters Pipes and Drums Band will appear at 8:30pm. There is a cover charge on Thursday, but no charge Saturday and Sunday.
Blue Star (4512 Stone Way N.) will host a Happy ‘Green’ Hour {4pm to 6pm} on Thursday, where you can enjoy a plate of Deep Fried Green Beans for $2.95 & your favorite pint, well or wine for $1 off. For dinner enjoy traditional Irish Pub food, like Cabbage and Corned Beef, Shepherd’s Pie, and Lamb Stew in a homemade Bread Bowl – all under $13.00. Wash all that goodness down with a pint of our $3.50 GREEN pints – Deschute’s Green Lakes Organic. Our pub is also proudly pouring Iron Horse Brewery’s dark smooth ale – Quilter’s Irish Death as well as mixing up some very Irish $4 – $6 Cocktails. Cheers to the Green.
The Iron Bull (2121 N. 45th St.) Free admission, $2 jello shots, $2 Rainier Tall Boys, $3 Men’s Room Red pints, $5 Jameson shots, and some free snacks while they last. DJ Kole will be spinning, and March Madness will be on, too!
Kate’s Pub (309 NE 45th St.) Kate’s doors open at 10 a.m. with bands playing all day long starting at noon. They’ll also be serving up their Corned Beef and Cabbage all day long. $5 cover charge after 5pm.
A Muddy Cup (266 NE 45th Street) Sarah and Mathew be serving up Irish cream lattes or Irish cream sodas with mint whip for drink specials. For the kids on the block, chocolate chip cookie steamers with our minty whip as well!
Irwin’s Neighborhood Bakery and Cafe (2123 N. 40th St.). Cara wrote to tell us, “We will have our tasty little sugar shamrock cookies available! Perfect for just a little party in your mouth!! Yum!”
Trophy Cupcakes (1815 N. 45th St.) are featuring their ever-popular Chocolate Guiness Stout with Irish Cream Buttercream (and a lucky shamrock on top!) now through Saturday (3/19).
Fainting Goat Gelato (1903 N. 45th St.) Fainting Goat is scooping up their Guiness-style gelato.
Mighty-O Donuts (2110 N. 55th St.) Specialty donuts for St. Patrick’s Day include their raised with some green trim, and their glazed with a festive shamrock. All week long, Mighty-O is doing a “12 for $12” special: buy 12 hot donuts for $12!
