Smash Wine Bar and Bistro is offering a great deal through the Green Lake Moms / Wallyhood Deal Coop: $25 for $50 worth of food and drink! The usual restrictions apply (e..g, can’t be used for Happy Hour pricing), but $25 off this great little restaurant is not to be missed.
We had an interesting conversation with Dana Hannon, Smash’s owner, about the relative merits of the coupon sites when we were setting this up and it was good to hear that overall, she’s been happy with their success. Unlike restaurant.com coupons, where the redeemers often spend exactly the amount of the coupon and never return, she’s found that Living Social and the like yield better customers: people interested in trying new places and happy to find an economical excuse to do so. Since some of these offers generate 700 – 1,500 coupon sales in the short period they’re offered, it had better be worth it for the restauranteur.
Of course, now we’re curious: what are Wallyhood / Green Lake Moms readers like as compared to typical Living Social / Tippr / Groupon subscribers? We’ve asked her to let us know.
If you haven’t tried Smash, we’re hoping you’ll use the coupon to give it a whirl. And tell her you saw it on Wallyhood.
(Smash is a Wallyhood sponsor. We are also a partner in this Deal Cop.)
