Venice Beach, eat your heart out. Wallingford has its own calendar of cuties, compliments of the SeaMonster late night crew. Lynn writes:
A holiday gift must have is the WOW, Women of Wallingford 2011 Calendar, cost is $12 and all proceeds go to Wallingford organizations, to fund the Wallingford Art Walk, the food bank, and Operation School Bell. Calendars are beautiful shots taken all throughout the neighborhood. They are available at Not A Number, Rain, Seamonster, Cafe Appassionato, the Chamber of Commerce and we will be selling them at QFC this saturday, 12/18 from noon to 2 p.m.
Two of the calendar girls are now organizers of the Wallingford Art Walk, all are active in the Wallingford community. Photos by Michael Proffit and Ken Roeder.
(Any resemblance between the displayed photo and pieces of Wallingford street art might be coincidental).
NICE! What a great idea! Wallingford girls are HOTT!!
Sweet! Wallingford scones are TASTY
It would be great if the women of Wallingford would celebrate all kinds of women, though. Not just the young and firm. Beautiful successful women of all shapes and sizes. C’mon, Wallingford. Let’s show Seattle how truly progressive we are!
Gimme’ Gimme’ Gimme’
Thank you, QFC staff for supporting us at the calendar sale Saturday. I’d also like to thank Vern and the staff at Bottleworks for selling calendars there, as well as the owners of the Grizzled Wizard, Joe and Kendall. I also left a calendar for the owner of Dick’s at Dick’s with the manager Elizabeth, as the drive-in is featured in the June photo. If anyone knows him personally, let me know! Lynne
girls got style
Anne- We threw this project together in about 2 months, using ladies in our social group who we see daily. For next years project, we intend to use ladies throughout the neighborhood and have an open call for participants. As you’ll see if you get a calendar, the ladies are of all shapes and sizes and most ladies are well over thirty years old! Thanks for your support. Have a happy holiday season!
