Heidi Heath, the manager of the Wallingford Bartell’s shared a bit of history with us recently. Did you know that the original Wallingford Bartells stood at the same location in 1923? It was eventually sold to an independant pharmacy but reopened as a Bartells again in the ’70s. Right now, she says,
“Bartells is celebrating our 120th Anniversary as a company and at our front entrance we have an old photograph of what the Wallingford Bartells looked like in 1925. Also as a personal bit of trivia, my grandfather was a pharmacist at this store in the ’70s, so it’s been very fun for me to be able to continue his legacy at the same location.
The impetus for this little history lesson was her note that Bartell’s is giving away a free 42″ plasma TV this week.
Stop in anytime through Sunday, Dec 19th to enter. Every store has a TV to give away, so one Wallingford shopper will win. No purchase necessary, must be 18 or older to win. Drawing will take place December 22nd and the TV will be available for immediate pick up as soon as we contact the winner. Just in time for Christmas.
While you’re there, you may still be able to pick up one of their special Wallingford mugs, if they haven’t already run out (and if you’re not already buying a Wallyhood mug!)
Is the TV a Sunmark or Premier Value?
It’s a Panasonic
