You may remember back in June, we posed a question in photos to you. The question has since been resolved and construction of the new climbing structure in the southwest corner of the John Stanford School play area is now under construction. The trucks must be operating during the day, because each evening when we visit the area with Baby Z, he declares repeatedly “No more trucks vooving, all done trucks vooving”. “Yes,” we tell him, “the trucks have completed their vooving for the day, but will likely recommence vooving in the morning.” We then repeat the conversation several times until he starts to climb the fence.
Lucie Campbell of the JSIS PTSA gave us the plan for November:
The first few weeks of November will see concrete footings for the new play structure installed. Then drainage pipes, gravel and concrete curbing will be added. In mid November, the JSIS Playground committee will host a work party to help spread out wood play chips in the new space. Finally, the new net climbing structure will be installed when it arrives during the month of December.
The JSIS community is excited that this project is coming to fruition and thank all Wallingford neighbors and businesses who have supported the project.
