(Updated Friday, 3:58 PM.)
Here are some fun things to do in Wallingford this weekend, while you’re digesting all of that food you’ve eaten yesterday:
Friday, 11/26 – Sunday 11/28: Friday kicks off Izilla Toys’ weekend-long, store-wide sale with 10% off all in-stock merchandise.
Friday, 11/26 – 5PM-7PM: City Cellars (1710 N. 45th St.) has its last wine tasting for 2010 and it’s “Turkey Leftover Wines”. Mmmm, mmmm. No, wait, not leftover turkey-tasting wines, but wines that pair nicely with your leftovers. $3 gets you a flight of 3 wines.
Friday, 11/26 – 7:00 – 9:30 PM: Friday Night at the Meaningful Movies (5019 Keystone Pl.) presents “The Harriman Alaska Expedition Retraced.” The movie shows two Alaskan expeditions completed within 100 years of each other to demonstrate changes in the environment and society’s attitude toward the indigenous population. Click here to view the flyer.
Saturday, 11/27 – 10 AM – 6 PM: Paron’s Closet at the Wallingford Center (1815 N. 45th St.) is celebrating their one year anniversary with a 20% off sale and a raffle.
Saturday, 11/27 – 5-9 PM: The Argosy Cruise Christmas Ship, The Spirit of Seattle, will be sailing around Lake Union. The ship will feature Seattle Girls’ Choir – Cantamus. For many Wallingford residents, it means bundling up and taking a stroll to Gas Works Park to listen to the chorus and view the beautifully-lit Christmas ship, along with all of the festive boats that follow.
Correction: The Christmas Ship sails to Gas Works next Weds., 12/1. Details to follow in a separate post.
Sunday, 11/28 – 12:00 – 1:30 PM: GraceFeast at Gift of Grace Church (2102 N. 40th St.)
Movies at The Guild (2115 N. 45th St.): Morning Glory and 127 Hours. Showtimes and tickets can be found here.
What happened to the Lenin lighting??
Next Friday, Dec 3rd I believe, during the First Friday (Fremont) Art Walk.
