Have a hankering for some tomatoes? Then you’ll want to head over to the Wallingford Senior Center tonight at the Good Shepherd, where the Wallingford Community Kitchen will celebrate that savory, botanically classified fruit that’s more commonly known as a vegetable. The kitchen will be held this evening from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Not only will everyone have a chance to participate in making and enjoying the meal, but here’s what else is in store for this evening:
- Community Kitchen leader Rachel Duboff just got back this week from 7 weeks in Italy studying local food so she’ll be full of amazing stories.
- Peak Moment TV is filming this kitchen for a half hour show –you can be a star.
- They’re bringing pizza dough to absorb some of that wonderful tomato sauce we’re making and canning.
Tickets will be sold tonight at the door for $15, and spots are still available as of this posting; but Community Kitchen organizer, Amy, asks that you e-mail Rachel at [email protected] if you plan to attend (so they can be sure to buy enough ingredients).
