Steve asked us to post the following:
My two 14 week boxer puppies got out of the backyard this morning. I live on Second Avenue just up from the liquor store. One is brown with some white on his paws and face and the other is brown with black on his face.
If you happen to see these two beauties, please e-mail Steve.
We hope they find their way home soon, Steve.
This is Steve’s wife. I don’t think Steve’s posting adequately reflects how devastated we are that our pups are missing. Please, if anyone has heard of someone finding or seeing two puppies running loose, please contact us. We will pay a reward to have them back. We and our two kids are absolutely heartbroken. Thank you so much.
They are beautiful. I pray they find their way home and your family reunited.
My heart goes out to your family. I know how devastated you feel.
Will keep an eye out Steve & Fiona!
if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.

This breaks my heart! My husband and I will keep an eye out for them.
As a dog lover and a dog owner ( or does she own me?) my heart sank when I read this. I reposted on my FaceBook page. I wish you and those beautiful pups the best!
My hearts breaks for this family…I know how well loved these pups are!
Sweet puppies, hope you find them. Will watch for them on my walks.
Do we have Steve’s e-mail?

we have had NO information about these pups. We are really pretty distraught. If anyone has any ideas about where else to look for info, please share. we have been in touch with Animal Control, Humane Society, and PAWS. Flyers are up everywhere. Ad on Craigslist and tweet from myGreenlake. These boys are very loved, very missed. Thanks, Everyone.
Have they been chipped? You might consider calling local vets:
Green Lake Animal Hospital: (206) 524-6540
Emerald City Emergency Clinic: (206) 634-9000
Northwest Veterinary Hospital: (206) 545-4255
Unfortunately, they were not chipped because we were told to wait until they were neutered at 6 months. They weren’t wearing collars either because they wrestle one another constantly and it is a choking risk with their wrestling. I am kicking myself over their lack of ID. They will be chipped as soon as secret them back. Promise.
I pray the frisky lovelies will romp around for a while and come back home. I had a standard poodle pup who learned to unlock the fence. He came back the next afternoon sitting patiently on the porch.
My mini-labradoodle and I will keep our eyes open and bring an extra leash in case.
Judy
What are the cute little pups’ names?
Could we post this to the Udistrict website and Ballard? I know it is a long shot but, may be that the person who picked them up lives outside of Wallingford. I saw it was posted on the Greenlake site.
Erin
Names are Fred and Gus.
You should keep an eye on the “Pet” section on Cragislist (http://seattle.craigslist.org/pet/.) You might also want to post something there as well. (Not sure where you posted on CL, but I couldn’t seem to find anything about them.)
That’s a great idea, Erin. I’ve asked Amy over at My Green Lake to spread the word.
FOUND!!…. well more like ransomed back to us. It is a long story and probably would entail an entire article but the facts are that my wife and kids are ecstatic to have our puppies back. Thank you to EVERYONE that reached out to us and supported us during this very long 36 hours.
Wow! What a wonderful ending! I’m so very glad they’re back, safe and sound! Any time you want to tell us the story, we’re willing to listen (and publish it!)
whatevewr it takes to get them back right…. I would pay a fortune to get my boys back it taken/lost. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you all…. please, please, please…. chip them as soon as you can. 🙂
YAY!
