It has been a long ten days, but thankfully, it has only been ten since the Wallingford Flex Cat went missing. Today an alert neighbor down in the lower hood heard some meowing coming from a construction site on Sunnyside; a home just a few doors away from Bodhi’s is in the final stages of a remodel. The hood’s beloved feline must have wandered in when someone was there to share his wealth of love and then gotten accidentally locked inside. The rescuers climbed in through a window and found a lonely and hungry Bodhi waiting for them. What a great day for the neighborhood, an exceptionally great day for Bodhi, and an amazing day for Ann, Bodhi’s loving care taker.
The Flex Cat is doing just fine, he is a bit smaller having not been able to eat or drink for nearly ten days, but he had a few extra pounds to spare anyway. Ann is ecstatic to have him home again. She worked hard putting up posters and informing as many people as she could that he was missing. All that work paid off today when an in-the-know-neighbor heard Bodhi’s lonely cries. Thank you to all of you that kept an eye out and maintained positive thoughts. The world is a little bit brighter today.
As for you, Bodhi, adventure kitty of Wallingford, we are pleased to have you back in your old routine of spreading light and love wherever you go. Please, if you ever decide to enter unknown territory again, think of all those that love you and make a safer choice for them. If the call to adventure is too big, well, then know that we will look just as hard if not harder to bring you home again. From all of us in the hood, welcome home, Bodhi, welcome home.
