Redesign the Mosaic Den
The whole idea just seems too wacky to be true: a delicious coffeehouse with pastries where you pay whatever you want (or nothing at all, if you think that’s fair), big comfortable chairs, a well appointed children’s playroom and a community gathering space available for whoever needs it. But the Mosaic Coffeehouse is stranger than fiction.
Now, a group of folks are going to give something back. Amy Woidtke, Jessie Wolfrum, and Amy Darling, all members of the Fremont-based Biznik business network (“Business networking that doesn’t suck”) are pitching in to redesign the somewhat drab community room at Mosaic.

What Flavor is Wallyhood? You Decide!
What flavor is Wallingford? Lime “green” with just a hint of granola (though perhaps not as crunchy as Fremont)? Next month, Fainting Goat Gelato celebrates their one year anniversary here in Wallingford. To mark the occasion, Wallyhood and Fainting Goat are teaming up to hold a contest in which readers can send in their ideas of what flavor gelato truly represents our neighborhood.

We just heard from Nicole and Karyn at the Alliance Française de Seattle that “France’s most-beloved daughter, award-winning actress and international musical star”, Charlotte Gainsbourg, is stopping by the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Ave. N #205) tonight, Tuesday, April 13th from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.
