Hamilton International Middle School presents two winter evening concerts, with performances by the school’s concert and jazz bands, choir, and orchestras.
Hamilton’s symphonic, cadet, beginning orchestra, and choir will perform seasonal music this Thursday evening, December 3, beginning at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Auditorium.
On Thursday, December 10, four concert bands and one jazz band will take the stage at Lincoln Auditorium for a 7 p.m. performance.
Both performances are free and open to the public and will run for approximately 90 minutes.
In September, Hamilton launched a new full-time music program, recruiting Naomi Mandojana as the orchestra and choir instructor, and Dan Rowe (who taught after-school music at Hamilton last year) to teach the concert and jazz bands. In tandem, a new parent-driven organization, known as “Friends of Music at Hamilton International,” or FOMAHI, was created to provide support with volunteer work and fund raising for the program. For more information about the music program, including dates for upcoming performances, check out the FOMAHI website at: www.fomahi.org
