All sortsa exciting things happening up at Cutz salon. If you’ve been wondering what’s going into that building that used to be a dry cleaners behind Murphy’s, you need wonder no longer: CUTZ Meridian Salon-Spa-Art opens tomorrow, Wed, Nov 18th. We understand that the existing location (4429 Wallingford Ave N.) will continue to operate as a salon, while the new location (4515 Meridian Ave N.) will also include massage and spa features.
In a brilliant “We don’t need an art walk to host art” move, Cutz Meridian will also be hosting monthly art openings. They kick it off this Saturday, November 21st with an opening by Alex Strazzanti, the owner of the Oasis Art Gallery from 7PM to 10PM.
Finally, they were recently featured in Comcast’s “Best of the City” series. We present the resulting video here for your viewing pleasure.
Congratulations and good luck on the new shop to Colleen and the Cutz crew!
Not only is Colleen a fantastic stylist and promoter of the arts, Wallingford is in her heart. She’s become one of our most valuable community-building assets, we’re very lucky to have her in our neighborhood.
Happy to see the building put to good use! I’m still confused by the prior, um, occupant . . . was it an art/card store? A printing business? It never seemed to be either open or closed, but just sort of waiting for something.
