It often seems like when you find a restaurant that serves organic ingredients, you’re going to be eating one particular style of modern cuisine. But why should it be? Why don’t all types of cuisine use organic?
Chutney’s Indian restaurant in Wallingford Center is busting down the barrier, and as of November 16th is serving food made from certified organic ingredients as well as organic wines.
From the release, it doesn’t sound like they’re going 100% organic, but it does sound like a move in the right direction.
I’ve never gotten around to eating here. Is the carry-out convenient?
@Rob – Their food is absolutely delish, and they deliver free in the Wallingford area. If you like Indian food, do yourself a favor and eat at Chutney’s! I’ll be eating there more often now that I know they’ve committed to cooking with organics.
I’ve actually only tried Chutney’s by delivery and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Be aware of the fine print before you order, though…delivery is free in the Wallingford area, as long as your order meets the minimum cost requirement ($35 or $40, I think). I just checked their website, but it doesn’t look like they’ve listed the minimum on there. Unless you have a massive appetite, make sure to go in on a delivery order with others.
