Halloween Additions

We’re reposting our list of events going on around Wallingford this Halloween, plus some additions:

• Wallingford Center will have face painters, crafts and prizes from 4 – 6 pm.
• Thriller Dance group from Roosevelt High at Boys & Girls Club 5:30, Wallingford Center by 6 pm, Not A Number/Fainting Goat Gelato about 6:15.  Expect to see lots of zombies out there
• Not a Number (1905 N 45th) features Madam Lina, Gypsy Fortuneteller and also will have a costume contest and mini-pumpkin art contest
• Selena’s Guadalajara will have a Salsa Dance benefit for the YWCA starting at 9 pm. ($15 advance / $20 door)
• The Wallingford Boys and Girls Club Halloween Hoopla runs 6 – 9 pm, with a spooky haunted house, Frankenstein’s Lab, carnival games, prizes and…wait for it…candy! They drew over 500 people last year, check out the details on the flier at right.
• OmCulture (2210 N. Pacific St) will be stretching it with a costuming pre-party starting at 8 pm and then dancing and frivolity with DJ Barbie-Danielle DeCarlo from 9 pm – 1 am. ($10)
• The Tom Bourg Nine (R&B / Swing / Classic Rock) will be playing at Murphy’s.
• Joule (1911 N 45th – who will have just returned from shooting Iron Chef!) hosts a family Halloween BBQ starting at 6pm
• Special flavors at Molly Moon’s Ice Cream (45th & Densmore) and Fainting Goat; free small scoops for kids at Fainting Goat (1903 N 45th)
• Come to Trophy on the 31st dressed as a cupcake for your chance to win two dozen cupcakes. All cupcakes and cupcake inspired costumes will be photographed and voted on by our staff and our Facebook fans on November 1st. Winners in three age categories (0-10, 11-17 & 18-up) will be announced November 2nd.
• Work off the chunk at Fuerte Fitness, special exercise stations will be set up for kids to earn those sweets. Come evening time, it’s adult party, starting at 7 pm. Wear your costume and be ready for “Brutal Partynite at the Gym”.

• Paws 4 Training (new at 4015 Stone) hosts a Doggie Halloween Party on Sun. 11/1 from 2-5pm, with treats and a costume contest

Dozens of Wallingford businesses will be open for trick or treating during the day on Saturday, Oct 31st, 3 – 6 pm, click the map below for participating businesses.
