Hi there and greetings from the East end of Wallyhood – thought you might want to share this with our neighbors. The Game Crazy store inside Hollywood Video (2nd and 45th across from Dick’s) is closing. They will be around about two weeks – I think the guy said Oct. 24 last night, but could be wrong.
They are having the obligatory everything-must-go sale, with stuff around 30% – 40% off. Lots of games still available, including new and used. A few game guides left (decent ones, too) and a few random game-related toys an paraphenalia.
Sad to see them go. The guy working last night just said it “wasn’t our choice,” but didn’t/wasn’t able to say anything more. He was also, frankly, a little hostile.
They are closing 200 stores nationwide that are under-performing. It was a corporate decision. This leaves Hollywood Video with even more space that it doesn’t need.
I’m surprised the whole place is still open. The few times I’ve been in there (somewhat) recently the Game Crazy always had more people in it than the actual movie section.
