As we all are painfully aware, the Wallingford Senior Center is closing effective November 1st (see our earlier story for the details). But it’s not closed yet, and that means that the Last Sunday of the Month Pancake Breakfast is on for this Sunday. Kathleen Byrnes, the Center’s director, writes:
The Wallingford Community Senior Center would like to bring 30 years of service to the community to a close with our best (and likely last) pancake breakfast. Bring family, friends, and neighbors on Sunday, October 25 between 9 am – 12:30 pm. Enjoy pancakes, French toast, veggie sausage and ham at what will be a celebratory event! We’re located in the ground floor of the Good Shepherd Center. Call with any questions at 206-461-7825.
It would be wonderful to get a strong showing on this, their last community breakfast. In case you’re skeptical, we’ll repeat the review we got from Margie back in August:
We went this morning for the first time and this was amazing! Not only is it THE best breakfast bargain in town ($4 adults, $2 kids, and you get coffee/tea, OJ, ham or veggie sausage, and pancakes or French toast!), but it is such a great place for community to come together (and great to see folks over 60!).
