A few weeks back we reported on the travails of Seamonster and its resident restaurant, Pequena Havana. Kristi just wrote in with an update:
Hubby and I have been wanting to try the Cuban restaurant at SeaMonster, so we decided to go there for dinner tonight. When we got there (about 6:30), the door was wide open and the TV was on, but it was very dark, not a single person was around and we saw nothing even remotely resembling a restaurant — just a big bar. Then a guy came out from the back of the place.
Me: “Hi! Isn’t there a Cuban restaurant in here?”Him: “It’s gone.”Me: “Wow. That was fast.”Him: “Yep.”We turned around to leave, and as we were walking out, he said something about another restaurant coming in a few weeks. Guess all was not settled in the bar brawl of a couple weeks ago. Also, the Peqena Havana blog is no longer public. Very mysterious!
Mysterious, indeed. Who’s got the scoop?
I have no idea about what’s going on with the restaurant, but considering that they received a score of 63 during the last health dept. inspection, I wouldn’t eat there.
The health inspection reports are pretty scary for many restaurants and even grocery stores in the area. You can look up your favorite places here:

Warning….prepare to be grossed out!
Seamonster ownership has reverted back to the fabulous original owner Andrew, after about a year under Todd and Julio, followed by a short stint with Dennis of
Pequena Havana trying to run the place and managing to piss off just about everyone around. The general good vibes have returned and new menu shortly.
Karaoke last week was priceless. See you there!
