This is a ghost post. Even though it is appearing on the blog on Friday at 3 pm, it’s actually being written 4 days earlier, like a time capsule, or message from the past. You see, at the time this post appears, we’ll be off in another state, frolicking and causing what mayhem we can, with no access to the Internetz (or, at least, no desire to access the Internetz).
Fortunately, as they always do, the fine folks over at My Green Lake will have, in the meanwhile, made the map below current and up to date, displaying all the garage sales and open houses going around in our two neighborhoods this weekend. So thank them and enjoy!

Of course, that means we can’t offer you a Pick o’ the Week, as we usually do, because we don’t actually know what will be for sale as we write this.
So, instead, we’d like to offer a suggestion for something we think would greatly improve almost any garage sale, so obvious we can’t believe it’s not only uncommon, but unheard of.
Two words: Bloody Mary’s
Think about it.
Heya world … oops, looks like this went up a bit early. Garage sales and open houses will be on the map by 3 p.m.!

I trust that you’ll list Wallyhood’s home as one of the open houses. Bloody Mary’s for all! 🙂
Bloody Mary’s what?
We’ll have to wait and see . . . (‘marys’ looks wrong and ‘maries’ IS wrong, so I’m stumped!)
I guess it should be “Bloody Marys”, but it does look wrong. While the apostrophe is almost always reserved for possessive or to mark “missing” characters, it’s not always. For example: “Watch your p’s and q’s” is correct.
