I am hoping you can please post on the wallyhood blog that I have located a lost dog.Gold dog with a leather collar and a scarf with Italian on it. Beautiful dog, friendly but shy. I have him and will put signs up shortly…Contact Matt: 206.321.8256 or if anyone knows where he belongs I am happy to try to return.
Reminder to Matt and all a y’all: many dogs and cats are microchipped these days. If you bring them to a shelter, they can sometimes wave a magic wand and find the owner.

I saw [the Craigslist Lost Dog link posted in the comments], have contacted the owner and they are on the way!! The owner is very happy (from wedgewood all the way to wallingford). Thanks a ton to wallyhood community. He is newly adopted as of yesterday and just got spooked. Thanks again!

A vet can probably scan for a microchip, too, in case one’s closer than the nearest shelter.
Here the lost dog ad on CL:

Another good reason to make sure your rabies vac and Seattle pet license are up to date and the tags on the collar – they can help someone who finds your pet get them back to you safe and sound.
I called Matt & gave his voicemail recording the CL ad phone number, in case he didn’t check back in here. Good work y’all!
Hi Chris,
Thanks…I guess I should have mentioned that I called and spoke to Matt, as well as emailed the CL address to try to connect lost dog and owner. Hopefully Rascal is home safe!
Yay! I am so glad this story had a happy ending! What a beautiful dog.
