The 50th Street Market saga looks like it’s rolling towards a happy conclusion. Back in March, we reported that this old neighborhood fixture had closed. Then, in July, we found out that it had found a new owner and would re-open. Now, Kelley reports that the re-opening is upon us:
Per a chat with the proprieter the other day, it’s official: the 50th St. Market (50th & 1st) will reopen this Saturday, 15 Aug. Grocery, deli, and “a few gifts”.
Welcome back, 50th Street Market!
Poked my head in last week when the owner was around.
The “gifts” section looked interesting, to say the least…
Not sure if it’s gonna work, but hey, worth a shot!
I’ll def. check it out when it’s open.
as long as they price the steelcase reserve a few cents cheaper than 7-11, this place should have no problem
I don’t think that’s what their going for.
Since it’s in that stretch devoid of commerical space between 45th and Tangletown, I could see a lot of potential for an interesting store here.
I was thinking more gourmet foods/coffee in a Cowen Park Grocery kind of way, but maybe this works too…
