Every few weeks, we’d like to take a moment out to thank the local businesses that have offered their generous support for what we’re trying to build here at Wallyhood. We just introduced a new sponsor (The Folk Store) yesterday, so there’s one to thank, but we also want to extend a thank you to:
- Archie McPhee, who invite you to enjoy their new, expanded hours (Mon. – Sat. 9 am – 9 pm, Sun. 10 am – 7 pm) and to print out a special, Wallyhood reader’s coupon good for a bumper sticker. While Austin seeks to hold the line with the famous “Keep Austin Weird” slogan, Archie McPhee has apparently decided that weird isn’t good enough: “Make Wallingford Weirder”.
- Fuerte Fitness offers a small gym feel and personal fitness training for all levels, from moms wanting to get rid of a little post-pregnancy plump to someone training for a triathlon. Their summer bootcamp is underway, and a regular “Happy Hour for Your Abs” class is available, too. But the best part: check out this awesome picture we found of Adriana, Fuerte’s dynamo owner competing in a fitness competition in Vancouver in March!
- FindADogWalker.com: Make sure your pooch is happy, even when you’re busy or out of town. Find A Dog Walker provides the names and contact info for dog walkers and and pet sitters in your neighborhood, over a dozen available for the Wallingford neighborhood alone. You’ll never have to look at those baleful eyes with guilt again.
Again, thank you all so much for supporting us. If you or your business likes what Wallyhood is doing and want to pitch in, please drop us a line for more info.
